The maps are brill - clear diagrams of the buildings & accurate info about locations. I’ve got the Manchester edition which I’m familiar with & it’s bob on! I don’t know Berlin but bought the map as a gift for an architect friend so will await feedback after his visit. It’s just so nice having a sturdy ACTUAL map to refer to rather than constantly consulting your phone. The customer service is exemplary & I can highly recommend purchasing from this fab business 🧡

The maps are lame and have omitted so many structures of architectural note. Also since the focus is on modern/contemporary examples of architecture, the maps should be called “Modern Architecture Guide To…”.

Store owner replied: Hi Karen, I’m sorry you had a negative experience of our maps. You’re absolutely right, we have omitted a lot of buildings, particularly on the traditional side in many cases. Our guides are not intended to be an exhaustive representation of a city’s architecture; more of a curated list of buildings for people and travellers who are visiting a city for the first time (or a short time) and want to see the highlights and notable works. It’s completely subjective and we try and strike a fair balance between historic, modern and contemporary works of architecture to appeal to a broad spectrum of people. The guides do slant towards showcasing more contemporary and modern work as we do appeal to a lot architects and designers who are interested in that sort of thing. We also deliberately choose contemporary buildings for our covers to speak to that in some way. Thanks for trying them in any case, I appreciate the feedback.
